Title: The World Is Weirder Than Me
For the longest time, I thought I was the weird one.
I blamed myself for not fitting in, for thinking differently, feeling too much, caring too little about things others obsessed over. I assumed the world had it figured out—and I was the glitch. But the more I started paying attention, the more I realized... The world is way weirder than I ever was. WTF, seriously.
We all act like we’ve got it under control, but here’s the truth I’ve recently discovered:
Bravery? It’s just the ability to hide fear better.
Confidence? It’s managing anxiety without letting it show.
Everyone's pretending. Everyone’s dealing with their own crap. Some are just better at acting like they’re not. And honestly, that was oddly comforting.
We all suffer. We all long for something. We all break in our own ways. The only difference is the intensity and how we handle it—which, by the way, has a lot to do with genetics, upbringing, and perspective. One person's “minor inconvenience” could be a full-blown crisis for someone else. That doesn’t mean one is weaker or less skilled. It just means… they’re different. We all carry different weights, even if the bags look the same.
Perfection? It's an illusion. Social media? It’s screwing with our minds. Filters, masks, highlight reels—it’s all fake. Nobody's posting their breakdowns or their 3AM self-doubt spiral.
Not even me. (Okay, maybe now I am. LOL.)
But here’s the thing that I’m starting to learn, and maybe you need to hear it too: "We can’t control the world, the people, or the problems—but we can control how we respond."
That’s the part that matters.
So if you’ve ever felt weird, out of place, or not enough—maybe you’re just seeing through the bullshit a little sooner than the rest. And that’s kind of a superpower.
