At some point, we people tend to seek external validation from others to prove ourselves; it becomes people's basic need to survive. Of course, we social creatures are wired in our brains to live in the social environment and have to live with others. it's good to have a social circle but in some point we place our happiness towards external validation. but you might find yourself wanting to learn external validation once you realize you are rely on others opinion.
