Hi Friends, Here is your digital friend, I'm a 24 years old boy who working in a IT industry, for the past couple of years, after a long journey of my life I realised many things about my life. In early days I tend to be a very unproductive, lazy, arrogant boy without following anything, don't listen to anyone, just living like trash. When I realize that, it was a big turning point for me. Before that a famous proverb got into my mind:
"If you lose money, you lose nothing
If you lose health you lose something
If you lose you character you lose everything."
This statement strikes my brain like being hit by a train, Jokes apart, what this statement means to me was: "if we lose our character you lose everything", just a striking like At first, I wondered—why would losing a ‘shitty’ character feel like losing everything?", its true our character is more important than anything else for us, of-course you guessed it right, our character is build when we follow a discipline. So,
WHAT IS DISCIPLINE
In my point of view Discipline is when you follow something for a constant time until it becomes our habit, Habit becomes our character simple isn't it? Discipline isn’t a sweet candy; it’s a mix of flavors. Sometimes it’s sweet, and other times, it’s bitter., the key is it isn't about being perfect, its about showing up even we didn't feel it. People think being discipline is being robotic, but in reality in the end the sweetness of the end more sweeter than anyone else.
CONNECTION BETWEEN SELF LOVE AND DISCIPLINE
When it comes to self love, being discipline is one of the precious thing you ever done to yourself. Self-love isn’t just about feeling good about ourselves., It’s about taking care of ourselves so we become better and feel good.
Here's a story of mine: When I was a teenager, I watch body building videos regularly and somehow, it motivated me to join the gym at 17, At that time, I didn’t even know why I was working out, I knew nothing about fitness, I went to the gym, watched others, and simply copied their workouts. I had no idea what I was doing, but I just followed along.
I quit the gym for at least a year. By the time I was 20, I realized I completely relied on external motivation. If I felt motivated, I worked out. If I didn’t, I skipped it. This became a pattern.
Once I decided to stay discipline in the gym, my body started transforming into a new version of me. once realized my body is changing, I have a good feel about myself, then I got to know that self love motivates me to be in discipline
I realized that even when my mind didn’t want to cooperate, I had to stick to the routine. Discipline, not motivation, leads to success.
CONCLUSION
Self love and discipline is like a two eyes of us and each of it depends on one another. If you love yourself you stay discipline, If you want to be discipline, start by loving yourself first.
